Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Escorting patients from the waiting room to examination rooms.
- Performing all necessary intake and documentation of information including vital signs, current medications, allergies, current PCP and pharmacy, etc.
- Transcribing and updating information in patient records.
- Ensuring that appropriate trays are set up and in place for minor procedures.
- Overseeing efficient and clean turnover of exam rooms and equipment.
- Contacting pharmacies with new prescriptions or refills as needed.
- Providing instructions to patients regarding essential information related to the use of braces, bandages, dressings, etc. prior to departure.
- Performing clerical work associated with patient care, preparing and organizing patient charts for assigned providers.
- Monitoring and ordering an inventory of exam room supplies needed in order to run the patient rooms.
- Scanning patient paperwork.
- Keeping patient rooms and waiting rooms tidy.
Qualifications: Applicants must possess a minimum of a high school diploma, (or GED). Prior medical experience is a plus. Superior customer service, interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with physicians, staff, visitors, patients, and family members. Must be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Applicants must have knowledge of core computer programs and an aptitude for working with new systems and medical record software. Must be able to travel to multiple office locations.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $14.00 – $19.00 per hour

- Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.
- Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Contacting pharmacies with new prescriptions or refills as needed.
- Performing clerical work associated with patient care, preparing and organizing patient charts for assigned providers.
- Protects patients’ rights by maintaining the confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
